Just my life ;)

{September 13, 2006}   School time masti ..

My allegiance to the world of blogging. Before I begin I must extend a tonne of thanks to my friends who persuaded
(read forced) me to enter this world. Also I guess its my duty to warn you that my writing skills are at best pathetic.
So the reader reads at his own risk.

I begin…

I have often criticised friends for writing in a biased and unprecise way.I must admit however to an apprehension
as i put my fingers to the key-board.Whether what i write will be appreciated or not…
Selecting a topic is an ardous affair.I think i should start with my school days… what heaven they were.Life has
few happy phases.I can remember my longest. My god !what masti it was !

I admit i was not that nice for my folks and teachers ;),but WHO cared back then… Time has passed since .. but some
things remain etched in the memory. One incident i can particularly remember. It still brings a smile to my face…

It was a trip to mussorie in the Autumn break. Most didnt go because of the half-yearlies just after the break. Its
needless to say we were not a part of that group. When i say we i mean “me,rishabh, pankul, safal, arjun”.Now this trip
was coming out to be a very average trip. The usual sight-seeing and stuff. The day we were to return we were sitting in the
hotel lobby all bored.

Here we met this french guy( I dont remember his name) who kept pestering about places to visit in mussorie.

Now I had this sudden flash. You see every year we have  a fete in our school. And all of us are given ten tickets Rs 10
each to sell.None of us actually go selling them.So it just meant shelling out a hundred ruppee note from our pockets
and handing it over to the class teacher.By some random chance(its called luck actually 🙂 ),I had these tickets with me
then…

The next ten minutes were spent in description of “THE ANNUAL MUSSORIE FAIR” to our dear friend the foreigner
(Gosh ! i was myself surprised at how fast my friends caught up).It became the best fair in mussorie (even India !
someone said).

Now that was laying it a bit too thick, but the poor guy… he seemed so high in spirits,he bought not one but four tickets
for him and his family. And not for ten but Rs 50 each (that’s the cream of the joke.Somehow our school never wrote the
price on the ticket … smart… huh??)

Well we bacame THE Indians who SACRIFICED their tickets for him( tickets of the fete which had happened about a MONTH
ago in DELHI   😀 )

…….

We left that evening for delhi. It was laughter all way.Imagining and imitating our friend’s expression when he will
come to know of the truth!! It was a hot topic among in the school for a few days, this feat of ours !!
But most forgot it after that.In fact all but us.

About four years have passed since this happened but still i cant stop wondering sometimes…

What if at some point of time,i am again face to face with my foreigner friend ( perhaps again in mussorie !!!) What
will happen?( Remember Barin Bhowmik )

Whatever it is i want it to happen coz it will give me the chance to write another blog !!!
Thanks for reading….
